10/20/19, great food, great service, neat informal place. First time here. Avoid the chain food 6 miles away and try The WoodShed. 6 or so miles off RT 40, Newport TN exit. We will be back!!

The food was beyond phenomenal. I ordered french onion soup and it was some of the best I have ever had. My husband had the pork duo with ribs and pulled port and it was top notch. Onion straws were amazing and the cheesecake.......wow. Add in a rustic, homey decor and excellent service and we will definitely be back.

We liked the BBQ potato skins! The vegetable medley was super! Prices were reasonable. Great service!

The onion straws are fabulous. Pulled pork moist and vegetables fresh. Potato salad is wonderful. Service very good. Owner interacts with customers. Must go. Don't let location discourage you. Inside is very nice. Open a nice 2016. Open Thurs.-Sunday

The woodshed sits a top a hill in the mountains and is a very clean and modern resteraunts for the area.When you walk in your are greeted by helpful staff and delicious wafts of bbq and grill flavors. It has decor and plenty of wood to give the theme a cohesive design.The food came out fast and tasted great. I got their signature burger and it did not disappoint. It was so filling and you get so much food. I also got a side salad which also tasted great.We came from Indiana to visit the area and we were looking for a BBQ place and the two others we looked at in the area were closed for some reason, but we were glad they were as the woodshed had some of the most delicious burgers and bbq I have tasted in a long time.When we happen to travel through this area again, I will certainly stop by here again, as it is delicious.I wish places like this existed back home!

A meat eaters paradise. Everything I've ever gotten here is delicious. I only wish they were open 7 days a week.

Top notch. You feel like you are back in the woods with this jem of a restaurant. Not a huge menu to choose from, but what they have, they do REALLY well. I had the 1/2 # burger crispy on the outside, light pink in the middle. Grilled over a fire and crisp toppings. Onion straws on the side and you leave filled up. The servers were excellent, returning to our table frequently to refill drinks. Always tip your wait staff well, we do. Had a chance to talk with the co-owner and she said the place started as a hobby and has tripled in two years. If we can find the place again, we'll be back. Jeff L-8 Google Guide.

This place was so good. We are here with a group from our church and decided to try this place and we were not disappointed. Friendly staff and amazing food. I had the ny strip medium well (cooked perfectly) shrimp, loaded baked potatoe with a salad. I would recommend this place in a heart beat!

Great food, away from tourist. I ordered a kids meal of chicken tenders and salad. It was fresh and just enough when not really that hungry. My husband ordered 12 oz sirloin and it smelled great the second she brought it to the table. He said it had great flavor. Family atmosphere and great service.

Being from Texas BBQ is important to me... The Woodshed is delicious. Had the pulled pork plate. Didn't disappoint. Keep it up Woodshed!!

Ordered a Pittsburgh/Medium Prime Rib with a side of potato salad and baked beans. Steak was delicious and left there ready to take a nap! Worthy of my future $$ check it out only real down fall is limited hours of operation and broccoli not offered as a side...

Out of the way rustic fun place. Food always excellent. Service friendly and efficient. You must get onion straws! Be aware though only open Thurs-Sun evenings. Ride up the hill, you won't be disappointed.

This is seriously the best Mac n cheese I have ever had and I’ve tried many! The steak was perfect too. Atmosphere was great. Staff was fast and friendly.

Cute place for lunch and the grilled chicken salad that I had blackened was fresh and such a huge portion. Service was good too.

The Woodshed Restaurant, has some of the best food in TN. If you are lucky enough to go on a Friday get the ribs, you will not be disappointed, they are some of the best you will ever eat. A nice, clean place with an amazing wait staff. Michelle & Tommy are doing an amazing job with this restaurant. 5 stars all the way. We will definitely go back soon!!

My friends and I were visiting the area from NY and we found this place on our way to go rafting. I highly recommend this place if your visiting!! The restaurant is very clean and well maintained, the staff is super friendly, and the food was delicious. If you’re looking for a taste of Southern eating, this is the place to do it!

The best kept secret in the area of Newport Tn. Their prime rib was to die for. Best I've had. Great price. Only open Thurs- Sun. Specials on the menu each day. However if you want pro.e rib on Thursdays you want to be early or be disappointed cause they'll be out of it! Check their face book page to see their menu. Highly reccomend.

The woodshed sandwich is a must for smoked meat lovers!!! I've had BBQ from Kansas City to Hawai'i and this place is amazing. The food is grrrreeaaattt and the service was excellent. Great family type of restaurant where they make you feel like you are home even if you are just passing through.

The food was good, the servings are quite large, but it was just a little noisy for my taste. I think it's because it's a beautiful log cabin design, which tends to bounce the noise around. Even if you're hungry, you'll probably still have leftovers because the servings are huge.

Pretty good restaurant I have tried two things off the menu. The chicken tenders are not great they look good. When you eat them it’s really bland like no flavor at all. The fries are usually a hit or miss they are really good when they seasoning them otherwise they taste flavorless.

Hamburger steak better than average, cooked over wood, tasty carrots, nice salads, house vinaigrette is excellent. Good service.

Cute atmosphere. Probably a little hard to find if never been to. Good menu. Nice smoky and flavorful pulled pork. Some of the best.

This is a great restaurant in a unique location and setting with great service and food. My wife and I throughly enjoyed it. We will be back and bring more family and friends with us. Thank you for being so kind.

We were visiting the area for the weekend. We ate here twice because the food was so delicious and the staff was so friendly. My favorites: the barbecue, vegetable medley, and chicken tenders. I love the rustic decor and the family friendly atmosphere.

Something unique, not your typical chain restaurant or one of the 50 in pigeon forge. The burger was great, everything was well seasoned. A little bit of a wait but we were there after churches let it in the area so that's to be expected.

On weekends the food may be a little slow coming out but it's absolutely worth it. Best steaks and burgers your gonna find in this neck of the woods

Absolutely loved it! Was kind of concerned because we got into town late, and arrived an hour before closing time, but they didnt miss a beat. Everything we ate looked great and tasted stunning! Great job yall, thanks a bunch!

First time visiting this restaurant and I will go back when I'm in town! The staff was friendly, place was nice, food was GREAT, very reasonably priced. Tucked away so you might not notice it. We got an appetizer not knowing how big the meals would be, it was really good but the meals have alot of food! We will be back and this place I highly recommend!

We have been here several times since they opened, usually it's top quality. We did have one bad time,I'm assuming it was not the regular cooks. The ribs are kick butt, the salmon awesome, the brisket is good,and the pulled pork is good. Sides are great too. Don't be spooked out by the driveway and parking,the place is GOOD, unlike most local restaurants.

The food was amazing, the prime rib and New York strip are some of the best in the area!
